Our Dolphin wood carvings are created from yellow cedar (Chamaecyparis nootkatensis). "Nootkatensis" refers to Nootka Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada, which is where the tree was first identified. All marine life sculptures are hand carved and mounted on local (Vancouver Island) driftwood. These Dolphin carvings are suitable for home or office and are a great gift item. A descriptive gift card is included. We guarantee our work. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item for a full refund.
The bottle-nosed dolphin is one of the biggest and most common dolphins, found from shallow coastal waters to the deep ocean. Different populations of the same species can look very distinct. Coastal dolphins are smaller and often stay in a particular area. Oceanic animals grow over 13 ft. long and wander widely.
